Ammaroo Station Turquoise, Ruby and Diamond Earrings

Handcrafted earrings featuring rare Australian turquoise sourced from the Tosca Mine at Ammaroo Station in the Northern Territory.

Australian turquoise is very difficult to find, but a new deposit has recently been discovered near the original mine at Ammaroo station in the Northern Territory, around 300 kms North East of Alice Springs. Nicky was fortunate enough to get his hands on some pieces of rough turquoise, which he meticulously cut into two large, beautiful tablet pieces.

The pastel hues of the turquoise is complemented with bright ruby cabochons and diamond. Everything has been set in rose gold that has been acid-etched to bring the fine gold to the surface, giving it a buttery, rich colour.

The soft, delicate movement of the tassel contrasts beautifully with the substantial size and softness of the Australian turquoise. 

This piece reflects over 70 hours of meticulous craftsmanship, ensuring every detail captures the perfect balance of elegance and natural beauty and flow.
